What happens at Summer Camp?

Young Life has been hosting summer camps across the world since 1941. Every year we hear how much fun camp is and how it was a life-changing experience. We don't share camp activities before camp because the surprise is what makes camp extra fun!

Young Life's camp model is welcoming to all youth, regardless of what they believe spiritually. Young Life was founded in Christian values, and we believe these values are still true today. We believe these values help us be better people. We believe that Jesus Christ taught some important lessons that are worth discussing. At camp there will be times to discuss some of these lessons.

We also believe that building personal relationships is better than connecting with people via the phone. At Young Life camp we collect all cell phones so the youth can fully engage in camp. Don't worry, if you need to speak to your son/daughter, all leaders and camp staff have their phones with them.

What do I bring?

Your area Young Life leader will send a detailed packing list before the parent's meeting.

Transportation

The transportation plan will be communicated when travel plans have been finalized.

After Camp?

The area Young Life leader desires to continue connecting with youth after camp. There will be events/groups after camp where adolescents can continue their camp experience of fun and relationships.

After camp is over, we will have a special night of photos and discuss favorite memories from camp.

A parent's meeting will be scheduled when camp gets closer.
