Luxembourg City camp
24-28 August 2026
Join Us for an Amazing Week
Starting in 2026, we are introducing Luxembourg City Camp for families wishing to keep their young adolescents closer to home. We'll bring the fun activities, team building, and engaging conversations like we do at the overnight camps.
Questions about Camp
Where is the camp located and what time should they arrive?
Each day we will meet at 10 Rue Munchen-Tesch, 2173 Weimerskirch Luxembourg. It's positioned at the edge of the Grund. We chose this place out of convenience for parents who work in the city, as well it's proximity to parks and walking trails.
This is a day camp, which means youth do not stay overnight. Youth should arrive at 8:30 each morning, and parents can pick them up at 16:00 each day. Lunch will be provided each day.
What happens at this camp?
We have a team of caring adults that work together to bring fun and entertainment in the form of comedy, activities, and meaningful conversations. Expect singing, laughing, outdoor team building activities, inside small group activities, snacks, and lunch. I hope these things encourage your son or daughter to join us this year! Activities each day are kept as a surprise to the youth. This builds anticipation each day.
What should I expect as a parent?
On the first day of camp, bring your child into the building to get them all checked-in. Once all forms are completed, we'll ensure that each young person who is registered for camp is present each day. If we don't see your child one day, we'll call the parent to check on them.
If we encounter medical or behavioral concerns, we'll call the parent as necessary.
Parents are encouraged to arrive promptly at the end of camp each day to pick up their child.
Is Young Life a Religious group?
Young life is founded on Christian values. We believe that values such as love, belonging, and care are important in daily living. Jesus spoke of these values, among others. and we enjoy talking about who Jesus was and how he cared for people. We understand that not every family has the same belief in Jesus. We never force the teachings of Jesus on anyone, but we do have conversations about Jesus and Christian values during camp.
Will my child be inside the building all day while at camp?
No. We plan to have activities in Laval Park, which is less than 100 meters from the building. We may also go on an adventure hike or another activity close by. Our activity team will be planning the activities. Our leader team is always with the kids at all times.
Will my child have their phone with them during camp?
At all Young Life camps, we have a no-phone/tablet policy. That doesn't mean you can't talk to your child, it just means that we don't allow them to keep their phones with them during the day. We find that meaningful experiences happen when everyone is present and not distracted by phones/tablets. We always give parents 2 ways to contact us during the day. If a child would like to call their parents, we allow them to use a phone from one of the leaders to do so.
